The Classics Department hosted a two hour symposium on March 20, 2026. The speakers, Neil McLynn of Oxford University and Mattias Gassman of The University of Florida, discussed their work in progress and shared with those attending, undergraduates and graduate students, ways to think about ancient texts. In our time together, we discussed book three of Optatus and the anonymous De miraculis Sancti Stephani.
