The UGA Department of Classics is committed to outreach to the schools, elementary through secondary, not only in Georgia, but throughout the southeast and the nation.

The Department works closely with the following state organizations and programs:

• Georgia Classical Association (GCA)
• GCA Teacher Placement Service
• The Georgia Classicist , the Newsletter of the GCA
• Georgia Junior Classical League (GJCL)
• Foreign Language Association of Georgia (FLAG)

We also work alongside teachers and scholars through the following regional and national Classics and foreign language organizations:

• Classical Association of the Middle West and South (CAMWS)
• American Classical League (ACL)
• National Junior Classical League (NJCL)
• National Latin Teacher Recruitment Week (NLTRW)
• American Philological Association (APA)
• Southern Conference on Language Teaching (SCOLT)
