website Welcome to the website for LATN 4220 / 6220—Independent & Distance Learning! This is the site for my online Ovid course, LATN 4220 / 6220. The course, designed by myself and offered courtesy of the University of Georgia’s Department of Classics through the University System of Georgia’s office of Independent and Distance Learning, carries three hours of undergraduate (LATN 4220) or graduate (6220) credit, depending upon the student’s prior academic preparation, and is offered throughout the year on a “rolling admissions” basis; qualified students may enroll at any time, proceed at their own pace, and complete the course within two to nine months of registration. Check out the OVERVIEW of the course content; then for further information email me directly. This site is open to ANYONE, and I hope it will be of some value, not just to my online students, but to Latinists everywhere, teachers as well as students! The site includes a variety of materials of interest to those studying, or teaching, Ovid; the LINKS page, moreover, will direct you to other sites that point the way to a vast treasure trove of resources to enrich your teaching and study of Ovid. I will be most grateful to any visitor to this site who wishes to suggest other materials for these pages or other useful websites that should be posted on the LINKS page. I cannot post all materials, but please email me any resources you think may be appropriate and I promise to give them prompt and careful attention. MILLE GRATIAS AC VALETE!! Academic Honesty Policy of UGA:"The University of Georgia seeks to promote and ensure academic honesty and personal integrity among students and other members of the University community. Academic honesty is defined broadly and simply as the performance of all academic work without cheating, lying, stealing, or receiving assistance from any other person or using any source of information not appropriately authorized or attributed. Academic honesty is vital to the very fabric and integrity of the University. All students must comply with an appropriate and sound academic honesty policy and code of honest behavior. All members of the University community are responsible for creating and maintaining an honest university, and all must work together to ensure the success of the policy and code of behavior. All members of the University community are responsible for knowing and understanding the policy on academic honesty. " |
