Attendance

NO make-ups without prior approval.

I will drop your grade half of a letter (A > B+, B+ > B, etc.) if you accumulate more than two unexcused absences

Grading

Six 1 to 2-page responses 30%
Five-page paper 20%
Mid-term 20%
Final 25 %
Oral presentation 5%

Technological Components

  1. The responses will be due on the Friday after which they are assigned. You will submit them electronically via a listserv, an email list to which you will need to subscribe. When you submit your response it will be read by everyone in the class.
  2. Several of the assignments are keyed to the "responses." The paper should be an expanded version of any one of them, and the oral presentation is a presentation (15 minutes) of the paper to the class.
