Athenaze 2005

Athenaze 2005 took place on Saturday, March 26th. It included a lecture by Penelope J. E. Davies from the University of Texas, Austin entitled "Marble Manifesto: Politics, Perpetuation and the Column of Trajan." Also featured was a panel on "Increasing and Strengthening Latin Programs in Georgia's Schools" that included speakers from Georgia high schools and Elizabeth Webb, Interim Director of Innovative Academic Programs and Program Specialist for Foreign Languages and International Education at the Georgia Department of Education. In addition, our local chapter of Eta Sigma Phi sponsored a book sale, and our guests were treated to a complimentary breakfast and lunch, accompanied by live performances of Greek music and belly dancing.
